Get ready for the Ames Public Library Friends Foundation's annual literary pub crawl in downtown Ames.
Dress like your favorite book character (optional) and visit participating downtown Ames businesses, all with different themes and exclusive drink specials for participants! Literary costumes are encouraged, but not required. Top costumes will win a prize!
Purchase tickets for $20 online or at Ames Public Library's Welcome Desk starting July 5. All funds raised benefit the Ames Public Library Foundation, which helps provide the Ames community with enhanced library programs.
Participants check in between 5:30 - 6:30 pm at Ames Public Library, where everyone will get a route to follow. We'll get photos of everyone in their costume, and you can mingle, enjoy some snacks, or head out to your first stop.

Check-in is at the library on August 10th, 2023 from 5:30-6:30pm. Once you've checked in, we'll give you your route of bars to follow for the evening. We've asked our friends to include some special non-alcoholic drinks, in addition to specials just for you - and we even have some snacks for you, compliments of Fareway. We're working on some food trucks, too!
